From a young age I have always loved spending the day in Covent Garden. My parents use to take my brother and I there for the day when we were younger, and I use to love watching the street acts, wandering through the market stalls and being treated to an ice cream in the summer. Because of this, I have always gone back to Covent Garden and have recently found some absolute gems that are scattered around the gorgeous cobbled streets. They are must-try places for the summer and I’m sure some of you may have already seen some of the spots on your Instagram feeds, because lets face it, its all about the gram these days (sad, but true!)
Avo Bar –
Avobar is a new cafe concept dedicated to one of my all time favourite foods – avocados! I know, dream come true right? Everyone knows that as well as being seriously nutritious, avocados are super versatile and delicious to eat. So now, at 28 Floral Street, you can swing by and order an electric mix of avocado inspired dishes including avo burgers, salads and brunch dishes. A recent find of mine, but one I had to share with you all! A must-try cafe when you are next having lunch in Covent Garden!
If you are anything like me and always wanting to find and try the latest gym classes in London, then you definitely need to pop into Another Space, just off of Tower Street in Covent Garden. Another Space offer yoga, HIT and cycle classes; all of which combine powerful breath with powerful movements, working your strength and flexibility in equal measure. They also offer made-to-order smoothies, organic cold-pressed juices and nuritirional snacks at their smoothie bar. Definitely worth a visit if you are a fitness fanatic!
Neal’s Yard is a quaint little courtyard right in the middle of Seven Dials in Covent Garden, and it is the kind of place you enter and immediately know you could spend your whole afternoon there. Hidden away, Neal’s Yard is known for its chic eateries and little boutiques, and is a world away from the hustle and bustle of busy Shaftesbury Avenue. Sunlight pours into the little enclosure and the walls are painted vibrant colours and covered in murals. The courtyard is home to the iconic Neal’s Yard Remedy Store and the very popular Wild Food Cafe. There are also several other retail spaces and cafes, all offering ethical and healthy options.
If you are looking for ‘ice-cream goals’, then you need to try Milk Train Cafe! It is home to the first candy floss ice cream cone in the UK, and serves next level kinda ice cream! You may have seen the impressive ice creams all over your Instagram feeds, and I am not surprised, as they look and are incredible! A nice place to go with a friend once the cold English weather decides to go away and the spring summer weather makes an appearance.
Blow LTD –
After a long day eating all the avocados you can stomach at Avo Bar, doing a yoga class at Another Space, buying lots of lovely body remedies in Neal’s Yard and eating endless amounts of ice-cream at Milk Train Cafe, you may fancy relaxing and having a pamper? Then why not head to Blow LTD in St Martin’s Courtyard and book yourself in for a blow-dry, makeup or nails? They are open from 7am until late and all their beauty professionals are hand-picked, tested and vetted so you can relax knowing you’re in the very best hands. If you need to look fabulous fast, then Blow LTD beauty bar is definitely the place to go!
