There’s something about Marylebone that I absolutely love. I feel like it is the only place in London where you don’t actually feel like your in London as it has a lovely village feel to it. There are some gorgeous boutiques and quant little streets around every corner, including some wonderful bars and restaurants. So I thought I would put together a list of Marylebone hotspots, including some of the places I have tried and loved finding!
Coco Momo is a beautifully simple and stylish cafe bar in the heart of Marylebone. Expect excellent coffee, open sandwiches, indulgent salads and perfectly served classic cocktails. Coco Momo also caters to vegans and those who are gluten free. It is one of those cafes that has a really nice feel to it, and it can get rather buzzy from Thursday night onwards. A perfect spot for a well deserved drink after a long working week.
Daylesford is an award winning organic farm shop and cafe, and it is all about organic, seasonal and delicious food. You name it, they serve everything! They are a butchers, bakery, creamery, grocery, winery – all in one! Daylesford can be a little pricey so I recommend going there for a nice occasion or when you fancy treating yourself to a fancy Sunday brunch.
Opso restaurant is a warmly decorated bar and diner serving the most incredible greek-inspired dishes. I am a big fan of greek food so I would eat here every evening if I could! Inspired by traditional and contemporary Greek tastes, Opso create modern Greek tapas based on high quality ingredients, most of which are supplied directly from Greece. They also focus on social style dining, food to be shared and enjoyed amongst family and friends in a laid-back, lively atmosphere – making it perfect to go with a big group of friends.
Fucina is a new find of mine and one that I highly recommend. Fucina is a modern Italian restaurant and lounge. Their contemporary and honest approach to Italian food is what sets them apart – there is only so much you can do with Italian food without it being the typical pizza/pasta restaurant, but at Fucina it is rich and textural and full of flavours. The decor is also incredible and somewhere you want to spend your evening.
108 Brasserie is part of the Marylebone Hotel, and has two distinct areas; the bar, a chic and sophisticated drinking area, and the brasserie dining space, where its modern British dishes take centre stage. 108 Brasserie is definitely a place to eat when you are craving hearty, uncomplicated food that is made from the highest quality ingredients. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is located down a stunning cobbled street which has a heated outdoor terrace area – perfect for a glass of wine or two with your partner.
Finally, Churchill Bar & Terrace is another great eating and drinking place. Inspired by Sir Winston Churchill and his wife, it offers award-wining cocktails and delicious dining in a glamorous setting tucked away behind Oxford street, on the cusp of Marylebone. The Churchill is located in Hyatt Regency Hotel and inside you’ll find a luxe decor, including bookshelves and love letters adorning the walls! A super popular hotspot in the summer months!
