My Go-To Hairstyle This Month

Hello lovely ladies, I hope you have had a productive week and are ready and raring to go for the week ahead. I don’t know about you, but sometimes if I am wearing an outfit I feel really good in, or have a hairstyle that looks really nice, I find myself in a better mood for the day and therefore more productive. This January, I have been trying out new hairstyles that are perfect for all you ‘girl-boss’ females out there who need to look smart and presentable at work but still want to look and feel ultra stylish. Myself and the lovely team at T3 Haircare came up with this hairstyle below, we called it, the Side Twist Pony (not going to lie, we totally made the name up, but we felt it represents the hair-do rather nicely don’t you think?) Below I have listed the T3 product used and the steps to recreate this simple yet stylish look….give it a go!

STEP 1: Using the T3 loose barrel wave curling tongs, roughly curl the ends of your hair to create a messy wave in the main of the hair.

STEP 2: Part your hair in your usual parting and divide two mini sections of hair on either side of your head – these are the sections of your hair that you will be twisting. Twist the pieces of hair from your ear right round to the back of your head and tie both sections of hair together with an elastic band.

STEP 3: Using a hair brush , backcomb the remaining middle section of hair that is not in the twisted sections, to give the crown of your head an extra bit of volume for when you tie it up.

STEP 4: Take all the hair back into a ponytail, and if you would like to, take the twisted sections out of the elastic band and twist over the ponytail (as shown in the picture above) and secure with pieces of hair with bobby pins underneath the ponytail.

STEP 5: To give it that glam yet effortless look, pull little pieces of hair out of the ponytail around your face to give it that messy vibe. Spray the main of your hair (ponytail section) with volume spray and finish by setting it with a fixing spray. I highly recommend the Duck & Dry OOMPH hairspray to give your hair some volume and the Duck & Dry fixing spray to finish off the look!

And there you have it – enjoy recreating this super simple, stylish and sophisticated hairstyle.
