4 Jackets To Add To Your Transitional Wardrobe

It is always difficult in the Winter/Spring transition period to know what to wear when it comes to jackets. Especially when you live in England and the weather is so hit and miss. Prime example, what a beautiful bank holiday weekend we just had with endless amounts of sunshine? But no doubt next week it will be back to damp, cold and rainy England! So in order to cater for this weather, I have 4 jacket options for this time of year for the slightly colder days as well as the blossoming spring summer days. They are my go-to jackets because they are light, on trend and can look good over pretty much anything!

Trench Coat

I’ve been seeing trench coats everywhere I look these days, and with good reason! Not only are they a nice, light layer to go over any outfit, but they also go with pretty much everything in your wardrobe. Plus, they make you look effortlessly sophisticated, so they are perfect to go to work in with a more formal look, as well as going out for after work drinks paired with a killer heel and red lip!

Denim Jacket

Everyone should have a staple denim jacket in their wardrobe – they are so versatile, comfy and again, can pretty much go over any outfit! Denim jackets are more of a casual look, but are great for the transitional weather period. I have a darker denim jacket that I tend to team with jeans and a top, and a lighter denim jacket to go over summery dresses and sandals.

Military Coat

I am a big fan of military coats, they can completely lift an outfit and are really on trend this year. I tend to team mine with a skinny jean, block heel and tee. They tend to be a bit chunkier, so are better suited to the colder days. However there are many military jackets currently on the high street that seem lighter in colour and material, so worth checking out! I have spotted some in Zara, H&M and New Look.

Bomber Jacket

If you want to stick to sporty styling, then definitely go with a bomber jacket! They are a throw on, easy to wear over any outfit kind of jacket and come in a variety of colours and styles. I decided to go for a pop of colour with this blush pink coloured bomber, as I think it will compliment my summer wardrobe nicely. Classic colours like black and grey bombers are also really useful to have to put over a more formal outfit.
