Checked In: Greece

I am excited to share another post with you containing a little slice of heaven! I am currently in London and back to my crazy schedule and responsibilities, but writing this post definitely takes me back to paradise. I thought I would take the opportunity to share a few highlights, suggestions and favourite moments from my trip to The Sani Resort in Halkidiki, Greece. It was absolute paradise and somewhere I will definitely be returning. If you haven’t already checked out my travel vlog, you can take a look here.

The Sani is a stunning private resort stretching across 1000 acres, with endless golden beaches, enchantingly framed by the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean and the magnificent pine forests of the Kassandra peninsula. The Sani Resort exceeded my expectations in every way, it is such a serene setting where you can enjoy nature as well as relish in luxury and comfort. The hotels were modern and stylish, and the surrounding beaches, pools and the marina were first class.

What To Do –

Sani Spa – if you are anything like me and love to indulge and have a spa treatment while you are away, ‘My Spa’ at The Sani Beach Hotel exceeds all expectations! The treatments are designed to feed your skin with essential beauty ingredients by using products from the luxury brand Anne Semonin. The amazing products, combined with the expertise of the wonderful therapists, created one of the very best spa experiences I have had to date. I opted for the full body de-stress massage, and I left feeling calm and rejuvenated. There was also an incredible indoor pool with steam rooms, heated beds and meditation rooms. It really felt like a spiritual haven where you could completely relax and unwind.

Sani Marina – by entering the vibrant Sani Marina you instantly discover a world designed to satisfy the desires of the cosmopolitan traveler. The state-of-the-art shopping plaza has a unique atmosphere with various upmarket fashionable boutiques. As well as the shops, the restaurants are first class. The Sani provides an amazing ‘Dine Around Programme’ where you can eat at any of the three hotels as well as any of the restaurants in the marina. What better way to eat out than watch spectacular yachts coming in and out of the port while sipping a glass of wine? The marina was elegant and incredibly luxurious!

Sani Nature Experience – if you enjoy doing something active while you are away like me, then The Sani Resort is the perfect holiday destination for you. I have never known somewhere to have so many activities going on in one place. I felt like we could have stayed another week to really indulge in everything they had to offer. There is a breathtaking nature reserve where you can go on bird watching tours and private picnics! There are also numerous hiking trails and bike riding trails that are perfect for an early morning run or early evening bike ride. Sam and I got into the routine of going for a run most mornings, and the views are out of this world – it really made us appreciate nature and rediscover the simple things in life.

Sani Watersports – The Sani Resort has the best watersports around!! Sam and I decided to hire a pedal boat and had such a laugh messing around in the sea. There were also jet skis, speed boats and private yachts that you could hire for the day. Sam attempted to get me on a banana boat but sadly failed – I was not getting flung off in the middle of the sea!! The resort also offered paddleboard yoga classes which I tried and really enjoyed. Who thought doing a downward dog in the middle of the sea was a thing?

Sani Restaurants – the food at The Sani Resort was out of this world. There was so much choice so no two nights were the same. We had a few particular favorites that we would recommend for anyone to try. Firstly, Grill by the Pool and Ammos in The Sani Beach Hotel served the most amazing Mediteranian and Greek food. They both had a live singer and pianist and had a lovely chilled out vibe. The Beach House was at The Sani Dunes Hotel and was a particular favourite of ours as it was right on the beach front, a perfect romantic setting. In the marina, there was a gorgeous little Asian restaurant that we were recommended by the concierge – the food was beautifully presented and tasted incredible, this was the night we sat with a glass of wine wathing the yachts go by. Finally, Cabana restaurant at The Sani Club Hotel had, by far, the best view of the whole resort and the sunset. Located at the very top of the island, we spent our last evening watching the sun go down – it was breathtakingly beautiful.

Sani Entertainment – The Sani provided so much entertainment during our stay. They had live singers, pianists and shows every evening that you could pick and choose from. A particular favourite of ours was the White Party that was held every Wednesday night at Bousoulas Beach Bar. They transformed the beach into a spectacular scene with dancers, live music from a saxophone player, bottles of champagne flowing and of course white strobe lights and decor everywhere! We of course stuck to the white theme and dressed head to toe in white! It was certainly a night to remember.

A special thank you to Thanos and Dimitrius at The Sani Beach Hotel for looking after us and making our stay truly special!
