Now don’t get me wrong, I love a pamper and I love staying up to date with the latest beauty products – but I am definitely not one of those girls who spends hours and hours on her beauty regime. I instead have six go-to products that I use on a daily or weekly basis. They are not overly expensive or fancy, but they are key products that I use to help my skin, hair and body feel and look radiant and healthy. I absolutely love all of these brands and would highly recommend giving them a try!
The daily energiser cream is a skin firming cream that leaves your skin looking healthy, radiant and toned. I find that because it doesn’t have an oily effect, it is also an excellent base for make-up. My skin is perfectly hydrated once I apply this cream and my complexion is fresh-looking and bright. It is recommended for women in their 20’s and was the winner of the Best Everyday Moisturiser at the Red Best of Beauty Awards 2012.
2. Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil
I absolutely swear by this serum! It was voted the best smoothing serum at the Stylist Best Beauty Awards in 2017 and it is such a versatile and nourishing hair oil for all hair types. It has heat protection and an anti-frizz ingredient so it is perfect for when it’s humid outside. I use this serum a few times a week, especially when I am blow drying my hair to give it that healthy and conditioned look.
This body scrub is a game changer! It is a natural blend of coffee, oils and vitamins and gives you the best exfoliation and banishes dry skin. The ingredients are the reason why this scrub is so successful – the coffee stimulates blood flow and promotes collagen production and it is completely natural, vegan and cruelty free. I tend to use it two times a week, once all over my body and a second time in stubborn cellulite areas. I also take it on holiday with me as it leaves your body smooth and smelling amazing.
4. Bio Oil
Bio Oil is a specialist skincare product that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. Its advanced formulation, which contains PurCellin Oil, also makes it highly effective for numerous other skin concerns including aging skin and dehydrated skin. I personally use it on a few stretch marks that I have. I do not use bio oil as religiously as some people do, but it is definitely a product that I would recommend to have in your bathroom cupboards. It is so good for the skin and can be a great alternative to body moisturiser.
The Garnier Ambre Solaire bronzer combines a natural self-tanning ingredient with apricot extract in a formula that gives your skin a natural-looking golden tan in just a few hours. The spray has an ultra-fine mist for optimal, even coverage and dries really quickly. I swear by this product as I naturally have a really pale face. It makes me look healthy and sun kissed. I tend to put it on before bed and sleep in it, and I use it once a week. It’s fragrance is fresh on application and leaves you with a beautiful summery perfumed smell.
This muscle gel is perfect for when I have tired legs and muscle tension after the gym. I tend to use the gel on my shoulders and neck as well after a hard upper body workout. It is also ideal to pop in your toiletry bag or gym bag if ever your muscles feel sore. This Elemis product is also suitable for use during pregnancy to relieve tired and swollen limbs.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my lazy girls guide to all things beauty! Let me know if you try any of the products and what your thoughts are.
